FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASENovember 3, 2005 Flight Environments wins Contract for Avjet BBJ
Paso
Robles, CA
– Flight Environments, Inc. has been awarded a contract to develop the
thermal and acoustic insulation solution to be installed in a new Avjet
Corporation BBJ to be completed at PATS-Decrane in Georgetown, DE. It is the 32nd BBJ contract awarded to Flight Environments,
and their sixth contract for an Avjet aircraft. “One
of our priorities for this aircraft was interior sound levels.
We wanted the quietest BBJ interior we could get, and straight
answers on what was really possible.
I wanted Flight Environments involved in the project from the
beginning,” said Marc Foulkrod, Avjet Chairman and CEO.
“They speak our language, and their sound input and expertise at
every phase of completion, from the skin to the upholstery is invaluable.
PATS-Decrane had worked with Flight many times so this was a great
fit. It was a team approach
from the start.” “Flight
Environments has had the most success (lowest numbers) when working with
the completion center on the customer’s behalf to ensure that all the
details are addressed in order to achieve the optimum result,” said
Colin Judge, Executive Vice President of Flight Environments.
“For customers like Avjet who have very low noise targets for
their aircraft, this level of involvement becomes a necessity.” Judge
stated that there are countless contributors to interior noise inboard of
the insulation system itself, but that also means there are countless
solutions to interior noise, provided a company like Flight Environments
is there to implement them. “Avjet
is a company with a knack for anticipating the future needs of its
customers, and the people of Avjet go out of their way to satisfy those
needs in advance,” said Eamon Halpin, President and CEO of Flight
Environments. “Corporate,
VIP, and head-of-state jet owners are now regularly demanding quiet cabins
for their aircraft, and Avjet knows that their potential customers will be
seeking the same from charter companies.
As usual, they’ll be ahead of the curve.” Based
in Burbank, CA, and with offices in Burbank,
Van Nuys, Little Rock, Washington DC, New York and Dublin,
Avjet Corporation is recognized as a worldwide leader in private aviation. The company’s $500 million managed fleet of corporate jets
flies over 35 million passenger miles per year, and continues to grow.
Flight
